Sometimes working as a location sound mixer is fun, and sometimes it's important. When I met Allié McGuire, I knew her work was important. Our work today in San Francisco is for a documentary titled "Because I Can". It's about multiple sclerosis. Allie is an MS patient herself. She's traveled the country with her 11-time Emmy winning cinemaphotographer Bill McCullough. The documentary tells the story of MS patients who work to minimize the effects of the disease, and continue to work, create, contribute and love. Allie and her husband Jack founded "AwareNow Media". They use all media modalities to tell stories that affect change. Thank you, Allie, for allowing me to manage the sound portion of your work. It's important to me too.
